frannychoiPOETRY FEATURE: FRANNY CHOI is a Korean-American writer, performer, and teaching artist. She is a Pushcart Prize nominee and the author of Floating, Brilliant, Gone (Write Bloody Publishing, 2014). She has been a finalist at the three largest adult poetry slams in the nation, and her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Poetry, PANK, Radius, Fringe, Apogee, and others. Her play Mask Dances has been staged at Brown University’s franny-bookWriting is Life Festival. As a Project VOICE teaching artist and Providence Poetry Slam coordinator, she is dedicated to supporting young writers, both in her local community and in classrooms across the country. Shows have been jammed, but every now and again we get the sneaking suspicion that ya’ll aren’t opening your listening holes as much as we’d love! Let’s remedy this and put you to the test. Listen, I mean we hear you’re hearing it, but LISTEN to the first half of the show! We’ll scribble down some trivia and take three competitors who think they’ve been paying attention!
