MONDAY OCTOBER 5th – ERICH HAGAN PLUGS INTO THE GERUND!
The Dirty Gerund Monday Night Poetry Show in conjunction with The Analog/Digital Debate presents:
“The Sunshine Offensive”
featuring Erich Hagan
Erich Hagan is a writing performer born on a dead end street in a part of Boston its many fine institutions advise visitors to avoid. He’s developed his brand of engaged communication in bars, theaters, residences and warehouses across the nation, and has been referred to in The Boston Globe as “tender, yet violent.” He was a member of the 2007 Providence Poetry Slam Team and represented Boston’s Cantab Lounge at the 2008 Individual World Poetry Slam.
This fall, Erich will be featured on the blog Girl w/ Pen (www.girlwpen.com) for a piece of writing drawn from his experiences as a volunteer outreach speaker for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. (www.barcc.org) He is also touring the north east with The Analog/Digital Debate, a production platform that blends his skills as a live audio engineer, idiosyncratic lyricist and electronic noise maker into unique, venue-specific events. THE DIRTY GERUND is looking to collaborate w/ worcester musicians. We’d like to offer either a residency to a local band or coordinate a crew of open minded musicians who’d like to try something new. We feel poetry & music can & should co-exist. We’re into a lot of styles. We’ve got a great location to hang out & jam in a relaxed atmosphere. So come down & talk to us. Have a beer & check out some words!
8:30 sign-up & juke box party
