The Q Arts Corporation is a newly formed non-profit organization born from The Q Café 362 Chandler St. Worcester, Ma. The Q Café opened in 2007, dedicated to the local art and music scene. In the summer of 2009 Emilie Poulin, owner of the Q café, made a decision to turn the cafe in to a non-profit organization to encourage the growth of art, music, and poetry in this community.

The goal for The Q Arts Corp. is to grow into a community center for the Arts. Currently we are operating out of the small café that at one time was more than enough space for us, but with our new aspirations we need to expand to a larger location. To do this we have cultivated a relationship with the Quinsigamond Village Community Center in order to hold fundraisers at their venue.

Our first annual fundraiser is a Community Banquet and Performance on February 20, 2010 at The QVCC, to raise money towards our expansion.

This night will be a showcase the ideas of the Q Arts Corporation, a poetry set by the Dirty Gerund (Run by Alex Charalambides and Nick Davis), musical acts by Bolero! & The Ticklebomb Orchestra, a gallery displaying work from local artists, a four course meal, and much more.

This evening will give people an opportunity to see what The Q is about and where we are going. It will also give everyone the opportunity to be an active part of this exciting venture.

The ticket price is $40.00 per person, all proceeds will go to financing our goal of relocation and expansion. Please email theq.arts.corporation@gmail.com for tickets and further information.
